IMEX proved once again to be a successful mission for the cities that form the marketing consortium England’s Heritage Cities for Business. Bath, Chester, Stratford-upon-Avon and Oxford were represented at the show under the EHC banner and exhibited their unique business product to the European and International meetings, incentive and association market as 4 of the UK’s most celebrated heritage business destinations.
IMEX is an award winning exhibition which offers new ideas and inspiration to the global meetings industry, the annual event is held in the German city of Frankfurt and in 2010 welcomed 3800 hosted buyers from more than 60 markets, among a visitor total of nearly 9000.
Victoria Wardle, EHC representative from Visit Chester & Cheshire who represented the group at IMEX explained “IMEX was a great opportunity for England’s Heritage Cities for Business to reinforce our message to the European and International markets. EHC are 4 of England’s most quintessential destinations, often overshadowed by the larger UK cities, and we are working hard to ensure a< consistent message is delivered to buyers. Our intention is to introduce overseas buyers to the potential of holding their next event somewhere new and incredibly unique”.
